Quick information: Special care time for parents is again available

In light of the imminent next COVID-19 wave, it is planned that from October 1, 2021, special childcare time for parents can once again be taken advantage of - this measure is to remain in place until the end of 2021. Through special childcare time, parents can, for example, be freed up in the event of children being quarantined due to the coronavirus or in the event of a school closure, so that childcare for the children can be ensured. Specifically, the new model is intended to allow up to three weeks of special childcare time at full pay - under the old arrangement between November 2020 and July 2021, even four weeks of special childcare time were possible.
