Seagreen vignette for 2025 will be more expensive

Following a number of changes to the vignette last year (the introduction of the 1-day vignette and its immediate validity even when purchased online, etc.), in 2025 there will be "only" price increases in line with the harmonised consumer price index, resulting in a rise of 7.7 %.

Individually, the prices for purchasing the vignette for vehicles up to a maximum total weight of 3.5 tonnes (incl. VAT) are as follows.

The 2025 vignette is valid from 1 December 2024 to 31 January 2026.

The "digital vignette", which is linked to the number plate, can in turn be purchased online (e.g. at http://www.asfinag.ator acquired via the ASFINAG app "Unterwegs". There are no differences in terms of validity period and prices compared to the analogue version (if an analogue version exists). The digital version offers several advantages such as purchasing the vignette regardless of location and time, no additional effort in case of windscreen breakage, and no fiddly sticking and scratching.

There is also the option of a subscription for the digital vignette – this enables the automatic renewal of the digital annual vignette until further notice. For consumers purchasing the digital vignette (if it is not a subscription), it should be noted again that the digital vignette generally only becomes valid on the 18th day after the online purchase. This deadline does not apply if the digital vignette is purchased at an ÖAMTC service point.
